Motherhood is beautiful. It's also really, really lonely and we are here to talk about that part.
Hi, I'm Brittany. I'm a mom of two boys under 3.
I was born and raised in Connecticut and eventually made my way to Omaha with my young and growing family. My husband and I met in Boston, where his roots are in Brazil. We moved to Chicago for my job, then to Omaha for my husband's.
Something I didn't see coming until I became a mom, I had to start over socially. New city, no built-in circle, one son (at the time) in tow, and a slow, uncomfortable realization that the "village" everyone talks about doesn't just appear. You have to build it.
The problem was, I couldn't find anyone building it.
I wanted mom friends. Not acquaintances where we chat about our kids the whole time, but real ones. The kind who'd text you on a hard Tuesday. Who'd bring dinner without being asked. Who you could be a complete disaster in front of and still feel completely safe.
I couldn't find that community, so I built Messy Moms Club.
MMC is for moms in the thick of it. The ones who love their kids fiercely and still have days where they genuinely don't know if they're doing any of this right. The ones who are craving real connection, without the pressure to have it all together. Because no one is doing it all.
We bring moms together through in-person events and content that actually looks like motherhood (not the highlight reel version). No perfection required. No need to have anything figured out.
Just showing up is half the battle.
